EPC ratings are proving increasingly critical to buyers

As a result of the cost of living crisis buyers are becoming increasingly focused upon the potential costs of running their properties. Within a recent survey conducted by Hunter Leahy almost 70% of purchasers placed the importance of the EPC rating as highly important in their decision making process when it came to buying a property. This is considerably more than evidence suggested only twelve months ago.
It is becoming more and more evident that those second hand sellers who make the extra effort to improve the energy efficiency of their home prior to sale are likely to improve the sale price of their property and attract a larger number of buyers who are increasingly motivated by a more energy efficient life style.
